I informed the hospital administration about an incident involving Cloudnine. They irresponsibly added an incorrect charge for a surgical preparation blade to our bill. Additionally, they lifted the patient's gown to physically verify the private part to ensure the blade was not used. I requested a written apology for this. In response, the business lead/head told me that this could not be done, as it was not in accordance with their hospital regulations. I was a bit disappointed with her response, as I wondered where their regulations were when the incident occurred. Details: Cloudnine irresponsibly added an incorrect charge for a surgical preparation blade to our bill. This error was first brought to the attention of the staff nurse and billing department on March 12, 2025, but despite my efforts to correct this mistake, the hospital failed to rectify the issue. On March 13, 2025, I raised the concern once again to staff nurse and billing department, receiving initial assistance from a staff nurse. However, frustratingly, the billing error remained unresolved, reflecting a clear lapse in the hospital’s billing management and procedures. In further attempts to address the billing discrepancy, a hospital staff member approached my wife, persistently questioning whether the blade had been used. Notably, this individual was aware that the blade was not used, having been present during my wife's emergency admission on March 9, 2025. My wife had already clearly communicated this to multiple staff members, yet the inquiries continued, indicating a breakdown in internal communication and an unwillingness to trust patient statements. In a moment of frustration, my wife, expressing her disappointment, questioned whether they would insist on checking it physically rather than trust her verbal confirmation. In response, the hospital staff took the astonishingly intrusive and demeaning step of lifting her gown to physically verify the absence of blade use. This action was wholly unnecessary and highly inappropriate, resulting in severe emotional distress and constituting a grave act of harassment. Throughout her hospitalization, my wife was under the care of several female doctors (3–4 at different times), any of whom could have been consulted to confirm the facts without compromising her dignity.
