Dr.Satish Satyanarayana -Neuru Surgeon and Spine Specialist,Fortis Hospital Bannerghatta Road,Bangalore
When we approached Dr. Satish Satyanarayana, Neurosurgeon, Fortis Hospital at Bannerghatta Road, we had little or no hope that my husband will reclaim his heath and lead a normal life again. Three of his vertebrae were damaged beyond repair due to an infection on the back bone. We were advised that this was not just a matter of pain as he was at risk of developing paraplegia as his spinal chord had become vulnerable too. Thanks to the brilliant, two-stage complicated implant surgery performed at Fortis Bannerghatta Road by Dr. Satish and his dedicated team consisting of Dr. Dheeraj, Dr. Vibha and others, my husband is now not only just safe and risk-free but, on the way, to becoming completely normal. Our thanks also to Dr. Sudarshan, leading Cardiovascular and Thoracic surgeon at Fortis and his team who were involved in working with Dr. Satish & team to make this complicated surgery happen. I also thank Dr. Sudha Vinod Menon, M.D (Internal Medicine) and Dr. Pruthu Dekhane MD,FNB,CIC (Infectious diseases), Physio therapy team (Mr. Satyam, Mr. Linto among others) and every single person who helped us through this difficult journey. We want to mention that despite his long list of excellent credentials (MBBS, MCH, DNB and a fellowship in Neurosurgery from LSUHSC, USA, Dr. Satish is so down to earth, very approachable and a very warm person. In fact, the entire Fortis team has mind boggling credentials but all are so simple and approachable. We want to record our appreciation of the professional yet warm treatment given to us by all the doctors, their teams, the nursing staff, billing and admission staff and everyone else. The presence of Neurosurgery Coordinator Ms. Bindu Thomas made life so much easier for us as she took care of all aspects of the hospitalization including coordinating with the insurance department too. Our long hospital stay was smooth and tension free for all the twenty days that we were there.
