I rated only 2 out of 5 I would like Medigence to publish it so that patients who may face similar situations as I had, can consider or ask preliminary questions before jumping on a flight that is going to cost millions, as it has been my case. I am certainly not putting the blame on Medigence here but the onus of explaining and showing the risks and options available must be shared to each patient. I think this is why we give Star ratings and reviews, so that everyone can improve. From the outset, there are approximately 15-18 million new cancer cases every year worldwide. It so happens that the cancer that I have been diagnosed with have less than a dozen of cases every year. It is to my disadvantage to be in this tiny population - insufficient medical cases to record and report on trials, insufficient cases to trial, insufficient funding for research. Added to this, I have a history of allergies that does not make any treatment straight forward. All the above are facts known to medical institutions and agencies. My review is based after considering the sheer exiguity of related cases, but also as a word of caution not to "pigeon-hole" all patients in same boxes. My medical cost estimate before travelling was given to be around INR3,00,000-INR4,50,000 Final medical cost (excluding travel, living and accommodation) went above INR12,00,000 which is totally out of range, and would not deserve a reliable 5 star rating. Secondly, the agency was not really present when I, as patient, was physically and medically unfit to deal with hospital poor administration/ red tape. There was some other more priority or critical case above me. Doesn't give a nice feeling to hear that there's another critical case which goes above me, does it? A patient is paying good money and wouldn't want to hear agency not available for some other more critical - if it happens once, is ok, but not several times! How did the agency learn that I was not critical enough? When I got admitted, there was not a single day that I got the visit from Medigence. Third, if a patient like me, as a last resort, puts in all money saved during a lifetime career to find medical solutions, I believe it should be the agency to stand by and guide the patient about hospital options, why is a hospital better rated, what are the caveats to be considered, but not to learn after we are already in the hospital that there are administration and hidden charges... I am being very honest and not critical. I know Medigence can be as good as the first few days I spent with Tanmoy, who's been very enterprising and helpful. I only wish for other patients to be well briefed and explained on all aspects of the medical trip prior to travelling. Doctors, medical institutions, costs associated, additional charges to be aware of, risks and uncertainties that may be considered.See translation

I have to start by explaining that I have had two hair transplants in Turkey, one in the Ekol Hospital in Izmir and The other At this hospital, the difference between them is chalk & cheese. Or, if you prefer black and white, Ekol is all about making money, not patient care; I could not fault the nursing staff or the surgeons. They were friendly people, but the managerial staff were just money-grabbing thieves. I say that because, by the time I left, I had paid almost double what I was quoted. Now this hospital, all of the staff were brilliant, from the representative managers to the doctors and nurses who could not have been kinder; their expertise was unquestionable, their dedication was unmistakable, and they did it all smiling. I felt like I was the only person in the hospital. All I can say truthfully is if you are considering any surgical work to be done in Turkey, I would certainly come to this hospital; I did a lot of research before I left England, and I thought I had done it well. I was in contact with several agencies that assist with arranging medical treatment in India. Medigence very easily stood out for the clarity of information, quick response, and patience as I considered options for my surgery. However, their services did not end with my arrival in India. They were in contact with me every day of my 1 month stay, insuring the hospital was following through with its commitments and once released from the hospital, arranging 24 hour nursing care for the first week when I was still on IV antibiotics and with limited mobility.
